COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — A Colonial Heights 5th grader’s beautiful wolf mosaic has earned her first place in the elementary level of the 2024 Virginia School Boards Association’s (VSBA) Southside Regional Art Contest.
According to a press release from Colonial Heights Public Schools, 11-year-old Christianna Owens is the talented artist of the piece shown below.
Her work was entered in this annual art contest and she, of all Southside region elementary school entries, was awarded first place.
The Southside Region Spring Network Forum, where art like Owens’ was displayed and judged, was held at Brightpoint Community College on March 7.
