Dear NES Families, Due to limited practice time caused by snow days and the recent professional development day, we have adjusted the format of the NES Talent Showcase. Instead of an in-person event on March 20, we will now be hosting a Virtual Talent Show! Students can record their performances at home and submit their videos using the link below. All submitted performances will be compiled into a showcase video that will air on April 11. 📅 Video Submission Deadline: Monday, April 7, by 11:59 PM 📩 Submit Your Video Here: https://forms.gle/toRw76AKVPpYe1JV8 As part of the submission, parents/guardians will need to give permission for their child’s performance to be included in the NES Virtual Talent Show video. Each day has a dress-up theme: March 3rd, silly socks; 4th, pajamas; 5th, mismatched clothes; 6th, favorite hat; 7th, Seuss character or favorite place. Special events include STEAM night (March 4th), House Meetings (March 6th), and Isibindi Unity Day (March 7th).

Our Discovery Education/DreamBox representatives are pleased to recognize two teachers whose students have shown close to one year of math growth since the beginning of the school year. These teachers received a swag bag filled with a water bottle, notebook, post-it note binder, and hand sanitizer. Mrs. Bliss' students have had an overall growth of 0.9 and Mrs. Smith's students are demonstrating an overall increase of 0.7 since August. Way to GO!! #northstarsshinebrightly

North Star Showcase!! Students wishing to participate in the North Star Showcase must turn in their signed form to Dr. Llewellyn by Monday, March 3. There will be a rehearsal on Wednesday, March 5 from 3:15 - 4:30 pm. Students should bring any music or props they need for their performance on that day. Families, please make arrangement to pick up your child at 4:30 pm on that day. We look forward to seeing our North Stars SHINE!!
