Today, North Elementary serves approximately 325 students in grades Pre-K - 5. North has 50 staff members and a number of part-time and itinerant personnel. North Elementary has been fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1976.

P.T.O

The North Elementary Parent Teacher Organization generally meets the second Thursday in September, November, December, March, April and May. The P.T.O. has worked cooperatively with North Elementary School on projects designed to support the teaching staff in its efforts toward instructional excellence. They sponsor the annual North Field Day, Scholastic Book Fairs, and the Secret Santa Shop. They have purchased basketball goals for the gym, a digital camera, playground equipment, and many other items.

S.C.A.

The Student Council Association is made up of students in grades 2 through 5. The SCA sponsors school Spirit Days, contests, and other themed activities throughout the school year.

Safety Patrol

North's Safety Patrol is made up of fifth grade students who applied to be safety patrol members and who were recommended by their teachers. These students are on duty in the halls in the mornings and afternoons and assist in promoting a safe environment in our school. They also raise and lower the flag outside our school.
