A Visit from American Legion Post 284
A big thanks to American Legion Post 284 for teaching our 1st Graders about various flags used throughout our country's history. Also demonstrated by post members were lessons on how to properly display, fold, maintain, and dispose of the American flag.
The CREATE and PROMISE programs are teaming up with the high school again this year for the Volunteer-A-Thon to promote service throughout our community. The three elementary schools have been asked to help by collecting new and gently used pillowcases which will be used to make dresses for little girls in Haiti and Africa. Additionally, the elementary schools can donate peanut butter and jelly which will be sent to the Colonial Heights food pantry.
We encourage everyone to stop by the Volunteer-A-Thon on March 15th from 2-4 pm at Colonial Heights High School!
